He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. In addition to his private practice in Washington, DC, Dr. Philips lectures around the country and is currently writing his first book, Sex & Love When You Are Sick, a project aimed at helping couples overcome shame and the sexual limitations caused by illness. He is also the host of the Sex & Chronic Illness Podcast.
